Qualification assessment

Qualification assessments are a guide to the level of an overseas qualification in terms of a qualification on the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). The assessments are for general purposes and aim to assist prospective student, understand the educational level of an overseas qualification in the Australian context.

Required documents

Submitting an application

We will guide you through the application process, review the documents to make sure all the right boxes are ticked and double-checked to see if anything has been overlooked to make sure your application is a successful one. 

Documents required for the offer letter from the education provider:

  • Copy of Passport
  • Certified copy of your birth certificate, national identity card or driver license where you have these.
  • Certified copies of all academic documents
  • Transcripts
  • Work Experience Letter (If applicable)
  • IELTS /English Language Certificate 
  • Resume / CV
  • Any other relevant certificates (If applicable)
  • Letter of Recommendation (if available)
  • GENUINE TEMPORARY ENTRANT (GTE) ASSESSMENT FORM
  • Marriage Certificate (If applicable) 

Applying for Student Visa (Subclass 500)

The student visa application process can sometimes be a legal minefield. That’s why we provide you with all the relevant assistance and guidance to assist you to get the best possible chance and a successful outcome to get your student visa granted.

The main requirements to lodge this visa application include:

  • Provide a Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) at a full-time course registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and courses for Overseas Students, CRICOS
  • Meet the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement.
  • Proof of sufficient funds.
  • You and your family members must be covered by Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) from an approved Australian health insurance provider for the length of your stay in Australia, unless you fall into one of the exemption categories.
  • Demonstrate English proficiency.
  • Meet health and character requirements.
  • If you’re under 18 years of age, you must have adequate welfare arrangements in place while you are in Australia
  • Use the Document Checklist Tool and gather your documents. Ensure you have the most current list as the Document Checklist tool is updated twice a year on 31 March and 30 September.

The cost of the Student visa 500 is from AUD $630 for the main applicant. A charge will apply for each family member who applies for the visa. You can use the Visa Pricing Estimator 

Receiving electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE)

Upon receiving the payment and signed offer letter, the education provider will issue the Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) which is inevitable for applying for a student visa. 

Receiving and accepting an offer letter

After the offer letter is received, the applicant needs to sign the Offer Letter and furnish the financial documents for the amount to be shown. The first semester fees are to be paid to the education provider or as required by the education provider. Some institutions may need to pay the full fee of 1 year, some institutions offer payment plans.
